NFL Momentum Factor

A momentum factor is also calculated to define if an NFL team is improving in performance over its most recent games as compared to its middle and long term performance. For example, an NFL team with a good power rating can have a negative momentum factor. This means the NFL team’s short term performance is not playing up to the standards of its long and/or middle term performance that translates into a declining momentum factor. Momentum assesses whether a team is maintaining or deviating from its more longer term level of play. An NFL team’s momentum is either improving, declining or consistent as compared to its long and middle term productivity.

POINTSPREADWINNERS.COM combines both the PRD and momentum factors in the pointspread play determination.
